Psalm 116:12–13 (NKJV) — What shall I render to the Lord For all His benefits toward me? I will take up the cup of salvation, And call upon the name of the Lord.

The psalmist asked the question, “What can he give to God considering all of his benefits towards him?”. This is a question we should ask ourselves. The truth is, we cannot give anything material to God that He does not already have. But there is one thing, that God does desire from us; He wants us to accept His offer of salvation. That is what the Psalmist says he will give to God.

First, we are to give our all to Him by denying ourselves and accepting Christ as our Lord and Savior. Second, we are to recognize our mission and take up our cross to tell others about His mercy towards us. Thirdly, we are to call upon Him to hear His voice so we may follow Him just as He did the Father in order to do His will.

We must get the revelation that the greatest thing of value to our God is the salvation of souls. For this reason, He gave His only son. His mission and purpose on earth was so that no one would perish but everyone could have eternal life. If we are going to love one another as He has loved us, we must focus our lives on spreading the gospel. Remember what He said;

Luke 4:18–19 (NIV84) — “The Spirit of the Lord is on me, because he has anointed me to preach good news to the poor. He has sent me to proclaim freedom for the prisoners and recovery of sight for the blind, to release the oppressed, to proclaim the year of the Lord’s favor.”

Paul, in 2 Corinthians 5:17-20, also made it clear that each of us, as a new creation, born again in Christ, have been given the work of reconciliation as ambassadors for Christ in the world. As the body of Christ, His Church, we are to spread the gospel just as Christ did in His body here on the earth and give to God what God desires most of all, saved souls!

Finally, we should get the revelation that we will be richly rewarded in eternity for giving God what matters most to Him. (Proverbs 11:30; Daniel 12:1-3)

Therefore, I am asking that we stand together on one accord as Jesus works in us and through us to proclaim freedom for those who have been held in bondage.

Will you stand in support as we give God the Greatest Gift we can give Him?
